Training

At our events there are no winners or losers. It’s all about women taking part to raise funds for research into cancer.

Some people don’t do any training before their Race for Life event. But it is healthier and safer to do some training before your event.

To help you prepare, Reebok, the official training partner of Race for Life, has come up with three training options.

Which training plan is best for you?

1. I don’t do much exercise. I prefer to walk and I’m in no rush, I just want to get around comfortably.

2. I am not sure if I could run all the way, but it would be great to run some of the event, especially when crossing the finishing line.

3. I already do some running and I want to run the entire 5km.

Important note: we advise you to check with your doctor before starting any type of exercise programme. If you, or any member of your family have diabetes, high/low blood pressure, a history of heart disease or high cholesterol, you must obtain clearance from your doctor.
